I originally bought this because my son likes to play Fortnite and talk while playing. I read reviews and seen that this could plug into the switch itself or the charging dock. I didn’t realize that you had to use headphones with it. I thought you could attach it to the switch and talk/hear without headphones. Luckily I bought my son wireless headphones for Christmas or he wouldn’t have been able to use this because once you plug it in, there’s no sound without headphones. I do like that it wasn’t too expensive and the quality is pretty decent. It is absolutely compatible with the switch, and takes seconds to connect. You can use any Bluetooth headphones with these and can even connect 2 different headphones as once. It is nice to have, just wish I would have known that you isn’t just a regular microphone. However I’m happy with this purchase. I would recommend. Eventually I’ll look into getting a different microphone to use without headphones but for now we are okay using it with the Bluetooth headphones. Also came with very clear instructions which made it a breeze to setup/learn about the different modes. Like the versatility of being able to plug it into the switch itself and/or the tv/charging dock.I had some trouble getting it to pair initially, but got it to pair without having to contact support, and it hasn’t had any trouble auto-pairing since. It is a very slim profile, but I cannot use it and my grip case at the same time BECAUSE it fits so flush to the Switch. There may be some grip cases out there where this is not the case; if yours is completely uncovered at the bottom, then this would work. Mine, the grip case does clip over part of the bottom (ButterFox grip available on Amazon) so I have to pop it off to use this adapter. Just be aware your Switch may have to be naked.I don’t experience any noticeable latency, but I have only used it with Apple AirPod Pros.Do make sure that you are buying the adapter model FOR YOUR SWITCH MODEL. I have noticed people saying they had to shave plastic off to make it fit into their Lite, or conversely that it was too small for their Switch. There are two sizes, folks! There is a model that fits only the Switch LITE, and it comes in three colors to match the three Lite colors. Then there is a bigger one for the regular Switch that comes in several colors. Don’t order strictly on color preference, make sure you also have the right model to accommodate your pick. I bought the gray Switch Lite adapter for my gray Switch Lite and it fits perfectly, no shoving or shaving required. As it is, although I was raging out for about an hour attempting the initial pairing, since then it has worked perfectly and I will absolutely buy this again when I add a full-size Switch to my collection. Why Nintendo couldn’t shell out a little more to license Bluetooth capability is classic Nintendo, always behind the times. But since they didn’t, it’s awesome that this product exists.I bought it to use my AirPods on the switch and it worked great. Sadly Nintendo like literally a week later enabled Bluetooth on the switch. If there's one thing the Nintendo Switch ought to have but doesn't, it's Bluetooth support. This product provides it, but there are a couple hiccups holding it back from a full five-star review. The most pressing issue is that you have to have Bluetooth headphones that support the aptX codec, and preferably have aptx low latency support. Neither my Samsung or Jabra earbuds worked (or worked well) with the transmitter. I have some older MPOW Cheetah headsets that worked reasonably well with minimal lag, but I wanted as little lag as possible. I ordered the AUKEY Key Series B80 Earbuds (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBVCZZX/ref=twister_B07XTL5NGP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1), and they work perfectly and sound great. The only other issue (which is minor) is that the unit doesn't snugly fit with the Switch Lite model. I'm guessing it fits better with the standard Switch model, but it's a little wiggly with the lite.Regardless of these issues, I'd recommend this product to anyone who wants Bluetooth support on their Switch or Switch Lite.Wish I had purchased this some time ago. It’s too bad the Switch doesn’t have internal Bluetooth (even my PSP Go from 15 years ago has this feature.) but if you want the convenience of cordless headphones and are willing to pay extra for that feature - I can easily recommend theHomespot unit. I like that it is small, matches the gray and white color scheme of my Lite and Satisfye grip. It pairs seamlessly with my earbuds. Yes, you have to remove it to charge so you can’t play with earbuds while charging but I am not sure there are any others that do allow that. I think the price is fair given it’s specialty item designed for this one purpose. This is a solid product. Super easy to connect to my AirPods Pro which is nice. What I didn’t like is it won’t allow me to use the microphone in my AirPods to talk, only the built in microphone for the adapter. Not a huge deal but I can’t put my switch down and walk away to get a drink or something and keep talking. Small flaw but would be a nice feature, hence the 4 starsI use this product for the Nintendo Switch ever since the headphone jack broke on it and this product helped me use earphones on my Switch again, Its very easy to use and the product is small so it doesn’t get in the way while playing handheld. One problem i have had is the usb it comes with for the PS4,the usb broke the first time I tried it,while i was taking it out of the PS4 usb port it broke in the port and go stuck until i got it out with pliers, but it didnt matter to me too much because you don’t really need the usb unless you want to play with wireless earphones on the Nintendo Switch in its dock or the PS4.Works great. No lag. Super simple set up. Pretty good color match. Could possibly be a tad slimmer, but no biggie. Using with a switch lite and Jabra elite 65t's.I bought the grey switch lite version for my switch lite special edition (colour match is awesome), and worked instantly out of the box with jabra elite 85h headphones. I did get some technical issues (after about a week) where their contact support team helped me out (adapter wasn't recognised by switch lite) so they sent a free replacement. It worked amazingly for a month or so before the same issue came back which a very simple software patch for the adapter fixed the issue. In both cases, they replied within a day or two, which I find to be decently good support (I can wait a couple of days to fix an adaptor issue).Great product for bluetooth headphones support for the switch lite, would recommend. Some features I find a little bit annoying though, this is before the software patch and might just be for my headphones, but I found that when I put the switch in sleep mode the device disconnects (expected to save battery, so a plus for me). But when the switch wakes up again, the device automatically reconnects and the headphones are defaulted to a specific volume level and not the current volume level I was using (i can adjust the volume on both my headphones and switch lite independently) which is usually louder causing me to readjust the sound on my headphones. My headphones can also pair with 2 devices simultaneously, so I can have the switch lite and my phone connected at the same time, but for some reason when my headphones are connected to the switch lite no sound at all will come out of my phone from the headphones despite being connected (I have to unplug the adapter before I can use my headphones for my phone for e.g. answering a call). The adapter is fairly slim, but unfortunately I couldn't fit it in my case (original switch lite case) due to it being a rather minimalistic case. But the adapter comes with a nifty pouch with a velcro flap and a usb-a to usb-c adapter allowing you to use this for other usb-sound supported devices (works with my windows 10 laptop).Works great, easy to connect. Shame Nintendo didn’t integrate Bluetooth for headphones to begin with. Colour match for Grey is pretty close too. It’s been weeks since I bought it and I’ve tried pairing it so many times and it has yet to pair up with my AirPods. I’ve tried so many trouble shooting tips and nothing has worked. I’m honestly disappointed. You heard that right! I’m modding my switch-lite case to fit this adapter in for mobile play! If I don’t fx$& it up. It look sleek and the Grey buttons match the buttons in my grey switch!Audio is slightly effected but it’s to be expected. Not as good as Gullkit's because it's larger. Does the job though.
