The game itself is… fine. Not something I’ll ever play again due to the mediocre story and unfair level curve. The collectors edition is quite nice though. It comes with a demon handbook, bag, steelbook, and a soundtrack. My favorite part is probably the soundtrack, I really love the art they used on the front cover. $120 is a bit of a stretch though, I feel like $90 or $100 would’ve been much more reasonable. Also, this box is way too big. I get they had to fit a bag in here, but it’s a humongous box all the same. Prepare for it to not fit on your bookshelf. The game has exceeded my expectations, it will probably be the first I finish. I own nocturne and technically that was my first but I quit very quickly for a new game. The collectors edition was a bit disappointing in that I hoped the demon journal would be of more help with in game demon info but it’s just an art book with a bit of lore for some of them. It’s nice for what it is but it’s very small and really of no use to me. The bag is of decent quality, the similar bag that it actually used in the game by the protagonist would’ve been nicer but it’s a nice enough perk. The soundtrack comes on two discs and it’s pretty good. I wouldn’t say it was a great value to me and if I had known the book was an mini art book I wouldn’t have bought it, I took a gamble preordering. The game also came inside the steel book rather than a plastic vase with steel book separate. Again, a disappointment because I saw unboxings where people got their game separate. The packaging was a plastic bag and my box came with squished corners. I expected this but Amazon was my only option for ordering. Could’ve been worse like the poor guy online who had a shipping sticker put directly on his collectors box.All in all I’m not terribly sore over my purchase as I am using the bag, I listen to the cds (code would’ve been nice in addition), and the box looks nice on my shelf.Loved everything included in this edition. I don't think I will use the bag included, but that's because I don't want to ruin it.I don't know why amazon keeps immediately denying my review when I'm thanking them for carrying it at a normal price, when other places have jacked up prices because it's a limited edition item that came out a while back, but who knows. if you won't take the shout out this time I'm just not gonna bother submitting it another time with different words. "carefully reviewing your review", sure.the game is good but feel free to hit up a game review for that part, everything came as it should have and I'm glad to get it so long after it released. The game itself is awesome. Worthy contender for RPG of the year. The Premium box itself though...I was a bit bummed that the Demon Compendium was smaller than I thought (probably the size of a mini notebook) and the slot inside the box to hold everything well--- I'm surprised the stuff inside didn't easily get thrown around since it seems rather limp and loose.Which brings my biggest issue -- amazon shipped it in like...a "bubble envelope". Sure I can get a cellphone charging cable in a nice signature smiley Amazon box that they're famous for....but a "Premium edition" only deserves a bubble envelope? Obviously the "corners" of the box are no longer "corners" as they've all been squished in.I mean it could've been worse but really....first and last time I consider Amazon an option for "limited"/"premium" items...I got the fall of man edition recently when it restocked. I had already beat the game and had it digitally, knew I would get the premium eventually and not want to open it. It keeps SMTs finer points and improves on others in such a good way that going back to 3 or the digital devil saga only feel a bit slower and not as graphically enhanced.Im happy it got the nomination for rpg of the year, had tales of arise not been the same year, no competition.
