my son saved his money up and then waited very difficultly for the price to drop down to close to what is on the other consoles , (he wanted it very badly, so it wasn't easy for him to wait, lol ) after he got it , he played it as often as he was allowed (we only allow 2 days a week), and within 3 weeks which amounts to 6 days of playtime for him , he had the main story beaten, but still had side missions he could do as well as free roaming. he really likes the game alot . to me it would appear that it lived up to the hype for him, so thats good. i watched him play several times and he loves showing me all the things you can do in the game. it does have some very strong language at times but we already had an idea about that and had a conversation regarding that aspect before he was allowed to get the game. he has told me that the game would still be just as good without the bad language , at least to him anyway. one good thing that they did was allow you to mute the music in the cars after you take them as it seems whenever you take someones car it always has blaring music once you are in it , and some of those songs are just as bad as the characters dialogs. overall i would say the game is pretty good , it has very nice scenery and a nice assortment of vehicles to choose from and he seems to be getting a good deal of enjoyment from the game. if you like the feel of the assassins creed series ,as he does , then you will probably enjoy playing this game as well . just keep in mind if you are buying this for a young child or even a young teen , that there is a lot of bad language and if you are not ok with them being exposed to that , then you may not want them to have this game .on the other hand , if you are ok with it , then , go for it , i am sure they or you yourself, will get plenty of enjoyment from this game.
