I think alot of people getting this game expected to bowl awesome right off the bat. The game isnt designed that way. You start out as a newbie league bowler with the worst ball and skills. Some mentioned that timing with the bowler animation is off. Its a little confusing but you are really supposed to be throwing in time with the avatar, not vice versa Everything with the way you hold and move the remote matters... everything. From the timing of release, speed and any angle you hold the ball. Its very touchy and you wont see it get any easier until your stats go up. My stats went up after I won 3 league games. It got better and easier to control the ball with each stat increase. The game remembers your actions, so if you are consistant through your league games you will see improvment in accuracy and control as you progress, just be patience and get through your first league, you will see. I bowled a 300 on my 5th league round with a house ball... but I also have a 195 average in real life so that helped me figure out this game's mechanics very easily. All in all, if u have the patience, this game is very rewarding in the long run.Sadly the multiplayer is pretty lame, that is its only drawback for me. I dont recommend this as a family group game, in that regard the game is awful, but single player career mode is excellent.
